The San Francisco 49ers are not interested in revisiting a trade scenario for Odell Beckham Jr.

The 49ers were interested in Beckham last offseason before he was traded by the New York Giants to the Cleveland Browns. Beckham had a disappointing first season with the Browns.

Jay Glazer was asked about the 49ers' interest this offseason in a mailbag column.

"Nope. No truth to that. Sorry, gang," wrote Glazer. "I know the 49ers loved him but they are trying to rebuild draft capital, not give up draft capital."

The Seattle Seahawks are trading a fifth-round pick to the Washington Redskins for Quinton Dunbar, according to a report.

Dunbar, 27, spent four seasons as a reserve before becoming a starter in 2019.

He was rated as the second-best cornerback in coverage and overall by Pro Football Focus.

The Carolina Panthers have traded Kyle Allen to Washington for a fifth round pick.

Washington wasn't interested in acquiring Cam Newton, who also played for Ron Rivera. Washington wants to develop Dwayne Haskins and sought a quarterback who can compete with him but also can serve as a backup.

Allen started 12 games last season with the Panthers.

A tweet from Stefon Diggs in response to the Minnesota Vikings extending Kirk Cousins actually did initiate trade talks with several teams.

“It’s time for a new beginning,” wrote Diggs.

The Vikings had made Diggs off-limits ahead of the trade deadline.

The Buffalo Bills had already done their homework on Diggs as they were aggressive in their pursuit of him at the deadline. 

The Vikings mentioned Percy Harvin as a model for the trade. In 2013, the Vikings received a first, third and seventh round pick from the Seattle Seahawks for Harvin.

The Los Angeles Rams are currently discussing a trade of Todd Gurley.

The Rams signed Gurley to a four-year, $57.5 million contract extension in 2018 and that has become one of the NFL's more problematic contracts.

The Detroit Lions have traded Darius Slay to the Philadelphia Eagles, according to a source.

In need of a cornerback, the Eagles watched Byron Jones, James Bradberry and Chris Harris sign elsewhere in free agency.

Philadelphia will send a third- and fifth-round pick in this year's draft to Detroit for Slay.

After completing the deal, the Eagles will sign Slay to a three-year, $50 million extension.

The Los Angeles Chargers are debating whether to pursue a trade with the Carolina Panthers for Cam Newton, according to a source.

A trade may be unlikely, however, given the inability of team doctors to give Newton a physical amid the spread of COVID-19.

The Chargers could look to sign Newton if the Panthers eventually release him.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have agreed to trade Nick Foles to the Chicago Bears for the No. 140 overall pick in the draft.

Foles has restricted his contract with the Bears. Foles has three seasons and $21 million guaranteed remaining on his deal, but he can now void the deal after either of the first two years depending on the upside of his performance.

Jacksonville will absorb $18.75 million in dead money in 2020.

The Tennessee Titans have traded Jurrell Casey to the Denver Broncos for a seventh round pick.

Casey is under contract through 2022 at a base value just over $12 million per year. The trade saves Tennessee just over $10 million against the salary cap.

The Philadelphia Eagles discussed a possible DeAndre Hopkins trade with the Houston Texans before the wide receiver was dealt to the Arizona Cardinals.

Philadelphia backed out of talks based on what Houston wanted for Hopkins and what he would have wanted in a new contract.

The Texans ended up getting David Johnson and a second-round pick, plus a swap of fourths, for Hopkins.
